Feed
Your home stream of posts from people and pages you follow, plus a discover view.
Two feeds
Public has two main feeds you can switch between:
- Following — posts from accounts and pages you follow.
- Discover — public posts from across Public, regardless of who you follow.
Above the posts, a Status bar shows your contacts' Status updates from the last 24 hours.
On the web
- URLs:
/news/following(default) and/news/public(Discover). - The desktop sidebar links to Following feed and Public feed.
- A composer sits above the feed on desktop so you can post without leaving the page.
- Posts load with infinite scroll, 10 at a time. When you reach the end of Following, you'll see You're all caught up! and a button to View public feed.
- The right sidebar (on wide screens) shows People you may know, Pages to follow, and Trending Topics.
On Android
- The Home tab opens your feed. The top bar has icons for switching between Public posts and Following posts.
- Pull down to refresh.
- Tap the bell icon to open Notifications, or the + icon (Add Post) to compose.
- When you reach the end of Following, you'll see an All caught up! card with a View public feed button.
