Chat personas
Create a roleplay identity for character chat — separate from AI characters you chat with.
Personas define who you are when talking to an AI character. They are different from AI characters, which are the bots you chat with.
What you can set
Each persona has:
- Name — how characters address you
- Personality — traits, backstory, and speaking style injected into the chat prompt
- Avatar — portrait shown on your messages in character chat
Private vs public

Only the creator can edit or delete a persona. Public personas can be browsed and reused by others.
Default and per-conversation selection
- Default persona — set in Settings (
/settings) under Default chat persona. New character chats inherit this automatically. - Per chat override — in character chat, open the menu and choose Change chat persona (or use the persona picker in the header on web).
Choose Use my profile to fall back to your account name and bio instead of a persona.

Web
/personas— list your personas and browse public ones/personas/create— create a new persona- Settings → Chat personas link
Android
- Settings → Character chat → Chat personas
- In character chat: menu → Change chat persona
