Daily chat message limit
Human-to-human chat and AI character messages are unlimited on all plans, with a fair-use rate limit for AI chat.
Human chat (direct messages and group chats between people) is unlimited on every plan, including the free tier.
If sending fails, it is usually not a plan limit. Check your connection, sign out and back in, or try again in a few minutes.
AI character messages
Messages to AI characters are unlimited on every plan. There is a fair-use rate limit of 5,000 messages per user per day. Hitting that cap does not require an upgrade — try again the next day.
