Getting started
First steps
Finish the Welcome onboarding so people can find you and your feed feels useful.
After your first sign-in, Public shows a Welcome onboarding with a small checklist. You can complete the steps in order or skip and come back later.
The 7 steps
- Welcome — a short intro to the app.
- Invite — paste an invite code if you have one (or skip). See Invite.
- Photo — set a profile picture so people recognize you.
- Profile — fill in your name, bio, and basic details.
- People — follow a few accounts so your Following feed has content.
- Pages — follow some Pages that match your interests. See Pages.
- Post — share your first post.
Each step has Next, Back, and Skip for now buttons. The last step is Done / Enter Public.
Where to find it later
If you closed the checklist, you can still complete each item from the regular UI:
- Photo and profile — open Profile and edit your avatar, cover, and details.
- People — open the Explore and search page and follow some accounts.
- Pages — open Pages and follow ones that interest you.
- First post — open the composer (the + or Add Post button) and share something. See Posts.
