Getting started
Install the app, create an account, sign in, and finish your welcome checklist.
Pick your platform
You can use Public in three places:
- Web — open public.kim in any modern browser. Works on phones, tablets, and computers.
- Android — install Public on Google Play.
- iOS — search the App Store for Public (bundle ID
in.publicapp.ios). See Install the iOS app.
Most features work the same on every platform. Anywhere they differ, the Web, Android, and iOS sections call it out.
In order
- Install — Install the Android app or Install the iOS app (skip this if you only use the web).
- Create an account — Sign up using your email or Google. You can also enter an invite code if a friend gave you one.
- Sign in — Sign in the next time you open the app.
- Finish your welcome checklist — First steps walks you through the 7-step welcome onboarding (avatar, profile, people, pages, first post, and more).
