Delete account
Permanently delete your Public account and what gets removed.
Before you delete
Account deletion is permanent. Once it completes:
- Your profile, posts, status updates, blogs, pages, AI characters, comments, and messages are removed.
- Your followers and following lists are wiped.
- Any active subscription tied to your account is cancelled.
- Your invite code stops working; redemptions already credited are kept on the inviter's account.
- Your Password vault — every saved credential, the wrapped vault key, and the KDF metadata — is removed. Because the vault is zero-knowledge, nobody (including Public) can restore it. Export anything you still need before you delete.
If you only want to take a break, sign out instead of deleting. See Password and security.
